Kostas sat (0) back in the driving seat of his dark green Opel Vectra, and flicked through the radio stations in (1) …… of inspiring tunes. If he went down to the Louloudi Cafe, a couple of streets away at about 10am, he (4)….. be sure that his friend Dimitris, the owner, would be there and they could have a chat over an Ellenikos and a pastry. But what would he do (5)….. the spare hour?

Kostas Kerilidou hobbled stiffly out of the (0) bedroom and gazed (1).........the vista from his balcony. His home was on the third story of a (2)..........new block of flats on the north eastern fringes of Thessaloniki. The view into the (3)............was spectacular: Mount Olympus in all its mythical glory standing snow capped across the placid waters of the Thermaic gulf. The foreground was less (4)............. The streets had been neatly laid (6)........... a few of the low-rise apartment towers typical of modern developments in Greece had slowly made their way to a modest altitude above ground level.
